The majority of our models are from Lithuania, but we also represent models from Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, and Belarus. We scout for new talent through online applications and have previously held successful casting events in various cities across the Baltic region and Ukraine.

^{Our story} Ruta Models: Building a Reputation as a Trusted Mother Agency Since 2009

2009 – 2023

Ruta Models was founded in 2009 by Rūta Bartašiūtė, who started her own modeling career in the late 1990s as one of the first Lithuanian models to work abroad. From 2011 to 2012, Ruta Models was licensed to organize the prestigious modeling contest Elite Model Look Baltics.

Over the years, we have worked hard to gain the trust of top international agencies, casting directors, and clients, and have established close business relationships with them. We have held annual “Big Casting” events for our models to showcase their talent to leading agencies and have worked with agencies such as Women, Img, Monster, Select, Uno, Sight, M4, Modelwerk, Donna, and Bravo, among others.

In 2015, we expanded our scouting efforts to include Belarus and Ukraine, and we are proud to represent some of the most successful models from those countries, including Anna Tihonchuk from Belarus and Kateryna Zub from Ukraine (winner of the Elle Style Awards in 2019).

In 2021, we updated our agency strategy and branding, moving many of our operations online and focusing even more on our models and business partners.

Career
Management

At Ruta Models, we believe in providing individualized career plans for our models based on their age, potential, and personal circumstances. We offer training activities such as catwalk, posing, acting, style, makeup basics, and lectures on modeling ethics and personal branding to help our new models get started. We also finance photo shoots with local fashion photographers to give our models practical experience. These training and photo shoots are provided at no cost to the models.

When a model is ready to work abroad, we introduce them to foreign model agencies that we have a long history of trust and cooperation with. We continue to support our models throughout their careers by monitoring their progress and working closely with the foreign agencies to achieve the best possible results.

Ruta Models is transparent in all our financial, legal, and organizational procedures with both our models and business partners.
